Don’t Try This At Home!
I once decided to take up a home working idea, which i soon regretted.
This home work was to paint very small footballers in their team colours. In all, several different colour paints would have to be applied to each figure! This would have to be with good accuracy.
Of course i had to pay for the materials, something which i would now never recommend in any case. The many hundred plastic figures, plus special paints, brushes and detailed instructions, had to be collected from the next town ten miles away.
Although of keen eyesight and steady hand i found it impossible to paint to the necessary accuracy required for the task. I could not understand how anyone could! At best there was an inaccurate job description given in respect of how long it would take to perform the task. At worst the company was simply after the “cost of materials” money sent to them. It was not expected the home work would be performed to the accuracy required, therefore payment would be withheld.
After much time, effort and thought, and many headaches, i reluctantly resigned from the task after a couple of days. I then bagged up the lot, delivering them back from whence they came from!
As expected, no refund was given!
