Chamonix Haute Savoie Offers a Superior Location for Skiing Breaks

Chamonix town is found at the base of the wonderful Mount Blanc in France and is often recognized as the mountaineering and skiing centre of the Alps. The town has been known for a long time as a real resort for activities in both summer and winter seasons. It was host to the first Olympics in the early 1920s - but it is also a domain of brilliant vistas providing a lot of different things to the adventurous mountaineer and holiday maker.

But unlike a lot of up to date ski domains Chamonix is not a new ski domain and has been largely preserved from the concrete monstrosities that litters so much of the European Alps. Chamonix is fortunate to have not only an internationally famous snowboarding area on the other hand an elegant and lively resort centre.

It is big enough to guarantee that there is plenty enough for the tourist to do and see, with the Chamonix ski pass offering a lot of skiing. Whatever the pace of your holiday theres something to suit anyone. There’s a large swimming complex, cross country skiing, guided snowshoeing and local market; and loads of shops, restaurants and clubs, Chamonix Mount Blanc supplies a choice of climbing, old town charm and going out, which not many mountain resorts can equal. Why not organise your summer trip at once.
